Stormwater Without Enough Fall

Stormwater has to get from your downpipes to the kerb. Where the ground doesn't give it enough fall, we can run it as a charged system, where the water in the downpipes pushes it through to the kerb.

Tree Roots in the Sewer

If your sewer blocks again and again, tree roots are a common cause. On one Woolooware job our camera found roots in the sewer at the front of the house, so the owner could see exactly what was blocking it.

Is It the Appliance or the Plumbing?

When a dishwasher or washing machine shows a water fault, it isn't always the plumbing. We'll test the water supply and pressure first, so you only replace the appliance if it's really the appliance.

Sewage and the Bay, 1961

Sutherland Shire Council's local history records show council meeting the Water Board in 1961 about sewer overflows using council's stormwater drains to discharge into Woolooware Bay during heavy rain, a worry for the oyster leases. It's one reason your stormwater and sewer pipes are kept separate.

Recent Plumbing Work in Woolooware

Old drainage pipes dug up beside a Woolooware house, and the new PVC stormwater line in a trench across the front lawn
Featured job · August 2026

Damaged Stormwater Replaced Down to the Kerb

In August a Woolooware home had a damaged stormwater line, with downpipes that weren't draining properly.

Our team trenched down the side of the house and across the front yard. We replaced three downpipes in new PVC and laid about 38 metres of new stormwater pipe, connecting it to the existing kerb outlet. The ground didn't give enough fall, so we set it up as a charged system.

We also renewed the laundry waste line, then bedded the pipe in blue metal, backfilled and laid new grass.

Downpipes overflowing or water pooling against the house? Call us, and we'll find out where your stormwater is going before you get a quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a charged stormwater system?

It's a stormwater line that doesn't fall all the way to the kerb. The pipe stays full, and the water in your downpipes pushes it through to the kerb outlet. It's a proper solution where the ground is too flat for a normal gravity line.

Why does my sewer keep blocking?

Tree roots are a common cause, along with damaged or sagging pipe. We'll run a camera down the line and show you what's there before you pay for a repair.

My dishwasher shows a water fault. Is it the plumbing?

Sometimes, but often it's the appliance. We'll check the stop tap and the water pressure, then tell you honestly which one needs fixing.

Do you do hot water repairs in Woolooware?

Yes. We repair and replace electric, gas and heat pump hot water systems. We'll give you options and a fixed price for each before we start.

How much does a plumber cost in Woolooware?

It depends on the job, so we look before we quote. You'll always approve a fixed price before work starts, and call-outs are free from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Blocked Drain or Stormwater Trouble in Woolooware?

A drain that keeps blocking usually has a reason under the ground, and stormwater that can’t get away ends up against your house.

Rely on expert local plumbers to take care of it. Give us a call on 1300 110 230 or book online, and rest easy knowing every job is backed by our Lifetime Labour Warranty.
